The spring is somewhere around

and seems that life is returning into its traditional way.

The other day I was thinking that Italian "ciao ciao ciao" sounds like the song of some bird - sometimes a bit annoying, most of the time very cheerful. It's so easy to say "ciao" or "hi" when you meet the same person several times of the day in Italy or in English speaking country and you know you had a CONTACT with a person. In Lithuania we don't use to say "labas" every time we meet the same person during the same day and I feel a bit weird - try to smile like saying "here we meet again", try to say or comment on something... Boh.. I prefer this "ciao" and "hi" - so easy, not involving and full of meaning.

It depends from what side you look...

This weekend I had organized another "international" evening for my italian master colleagues - my german friend was in Italy and he stopped by in Pavia.
Was funny to force myself to talk English again and to listen to italians explaining to a german guy about the life "with Silvio".
I need to brush up my English as the possibility of my transfer to Dublin is getting more and more real.

Cultural crossings

This weekend I was in Paris. A lovely city I must say. All the buildings, monuments left a strong impression on me.
But more than beauty of the architecture, the simple life of people attracted me. Maybe after the "always seek the best, the shiny, the more desired" style of life Italians lead, I would prefer a way more calm but more profound rhythm of the day?
