summer sun is in this flower

Right. It's August already and seems that in Dublin the summer is finished. I'm looking to buy a new scarf, a new coat, a new... something to keep me warm and up in spirits as the Italians say. But instead of all that today I bought a new knife for our kitchen!! Huh, dangerous woman!

The other day I was remembering my trip to the USA 5 years ago and how fantastically lucky I was to come back home before the 11/9 events. The same thing happened this week - I flew from Italy changing planes at London Stansted airport couple hours before the whole "casino" (in Italian) happened... I am really lucky. Or not?

By the way, now that I fly several times a month with Ryanair I became a really good specialist of this airline - I always have an extra pullover to keep me warm as they like to freeze people in their planes a lot. And this time one of the flight attendant's name was...guess what... Ryan..:)

Ryan in the air.

Summer is finished. At least for me. What about you?

This morning in Glen Ridge, a suburb of New York City the temperature is 20 degrees centigrade--a good deal cooler than it's been--it's almost like a fall day, but not quite. I see the calendar creeping toward September, but everything seems to be on the baby's schedule and something of a blur.
